Wisconsin Cop: “Today I Stopped Caring”

Yes…this is a fitness site the speaks of health and improvements but I consider “Staying Alive” a big part of good health PLUS Police Lt. Daniel Furseth of the De Forest, WI Police Department wrote his heart out and he deserves all the publicity he can get. It has gone viral already but myself, being in a Security function myself (when not blogging)…although far from being a police officer, I do work with police officers on a daily basis assisting with taking care of irresponsible (unhealthy) human beings. And recently, watching local and national news gets me sick with what's going on in our society today. So I dedicate my post space this week to all of the Police Officers in all of the cities in our good old USA…for their unending dedication to preserve “life” as we know it in spite of the “Thankless” job they face day in and day out.

 Introducing Lt. Daniel Furseth:police_sirens_-635144056898744864

A post from De Forest, Wisconsin police Lt. Daniel Furseth has gone viral in recent days appearing on various police and law enforcement blogs and social media pages. Furseth channels the frustration of police officers who work day in and day out to protect and serve even as many use hyperbole to mis-characterize their actions and motives.

Today, I stopped caring about my fellow man. I stopped caring about my community, my neighbors, and those I serve. I stopped caring today because a once noble profession has become despised, hated, distrusted, and mostly unwanted.

I stopped caring today because parents refuse to teach their kids right from wrong and blame us when they are caught breaking the law. I stopped caring today because parents tell their little kids to be good or “the police will take you away” embedding a fear from year one. Moms hate us in their schools because we frighten them and remind them of the evil that lurks in the world.

They would rather we stay unseen, but close by if needed, but readily available to “fix their kid.” I stopped caring today because we work to keep our streets safe from mayhem in the form of reckless, drunk, high, or speeding drivers, only to be hated for it, yet hated even more because we didn’t catch the drunk before he killed someone they may know.

Nevertheless, we are just another tool used by government to generate “revenue.” I stopped caring today because Liberals hate the police as we carry guns, scare kids, and take away their drugs. We always kill innocent people with unjust violence. We are called bullies for using a Taser during a fight, but are condemned further for not first tasing the guy who pulls a gun on us.

And if we do have to shoot, we are asked “why didn't you just shoot the gun out of their hand?” And when one of us is killed by the countless attacks that do happen (but are rarely reported in the mainstream media) the haters say, “Its just part of the job.” I stopped caring today because Conservatives hate us as we are “the Government.” We try to take away their guns, freedoms, and liberty at every turn.

We represent a “Police State” where “jackbooted badge-wearing thugs” randomly attack innocent people without cause or concern for constitutional rights. We are Waco, Ruby Ridge, and Rodney King all rolled into one lone police officer stopping to help change an old lady’s tire. I stopped caring today as no one wants us around, but instantly demands answers, results, arrests, when a crime takes place.

If a crime isn’t solved within the allocated 60 minutes it takes CSI on television, we are inept, incompetent, or covering something up. If we do get “lucky” it was just that and everyone with a Facebook account can post wonderful comments of how “they” would solve the case and how “we” are not nearly as clever.

I stopped caring today because a video of a cop six states away, from a department that you never heard of, screws up and forgets his oath of honor, thus firing up an internet lynch-mob of cop haters even though 99% of us work twice as hard not to end up in the news and to still be “the good guys.” We are “militarized” because we wear body armor and kevlar helmets when shots are fired or rocks thrown at us and carry scary looking rifles even though everyone knows that they are easier to shoot and are more accurate than a handgun or a shotgun.

I stopped caring today because the culture of today’s instantly connected youth is only there to take and never give back. To never accept responsibility for ones actions, but, to blame everyone else instead of themselves. To ask “what is in it for me?” versus “what can I do for you?”

To idolize gangsters, thugs, sexually promiscuous behavior, and criminals over hard work, dedication, and achievement. To argue that getting stoned should be a right, yet getting a job or an education is a hassle. To steal versus earn, to hate versus help, Yes, I stopped caring today. But tomorrow, I will put my uniform back on and I will care again.

Lt. Daniel Furseth

As for my opinion…his last sentence really got me choked up Below in my comment that I posted on the Social Media.

“Wow! This deserves to go viral. Although I'm only in Security I do appreciate the services of the Police Officers in every department in every city across the USA. They have the most “thankless” job there is. A police officer has the right to defend his or herself when the alleged thief, murderer or worse draws a weapon on them. Who , in a correct state of mind could PROTEST that? Further, when situations occur where the officer is doing his job and doing it right I become sick to my stomach when hearing that a “group” is PROTESTING just because a cop did his job! The “mob” for a lack of better description should use all that built up hate and ignorance and use that energy to teach their kids RESPONSIBILITY, HONESTY and provide these misled children (who carry guns and a desire to steal from others with no regard to life itself), with the KNOWLEDGE to work toward making our neighborhoods, cities and our country a better place to live.”

Please…I really would like to hear your thoughts on this terrible movement that's sweeping the nation. Do you have any suggestions on how to stop this insanity?

Do You Have A Sweet Tooth?

Sugar in sodaIn my recent research, I have discovered that the average American will consume about 170 POUNDS of sugar per year. This was from information I've learned from the USDA. (As little as a hundred years ago the average American consumed only four pounds per person per year!) I believe – that the love of sugar is not worth suffering and dying for. I have uncovered a statement that Historians believe that the fall of the Roman Empire was hastened by lead consumption. They used lead in everything from facial powder to eating utensils and plumbing. Some theorized that the amount of exposure to the lead caused widespread physical and mental health issues as well and eventually brought the empire to its knees.

Dr. Stephan Ripich ND, CNP in his book, The 30 Day Diabetes Cure, stated; “I believe sugar poisoning is the 21st century equivalent that could very well cause modern Western culture to crumble.” Just look at the obesity in our country alone and how it is racing along at epidemic proportions!

And no, it’s not just from munching on candy bars. This sugar “High” is taken into your body by consuming everything from so-called health bars to pizza crust and I won’t even mention soft drinks and the so called HEALTHY “concentrated” fruit juices. Plus there is an unending list of hundreds of toxic items in between! And, it’s also been said that breaking its deadly grip can be just as difficult as a person on cocaine trying to rid him-self or her-self from that deadly poison! It’s been said that “sugar is the cocaine of the food industry” by many in the battle for wellness – when consumed in the quantities that we Americans do today.

The solution to ridding your body of this “killer poison” goes far beyond just reading the food labeling before you drop any grocery item into your shopping cart or doing some exercising occasionally. You have to stop eating the toxins and poisons. This is repeated over and over again to me by my number one wellness and nutritional mentor. First, you need to get serious about getting healthy and then educate yourself because I can assure you that no one in command of the food industry or the pharmaceutical industry is going to care about you other than how many medications they can sell you or how many sugary treats they can offer you. There is no profit to the pharmaceutical industry if you are constantly striving to be healthy or remain a healthy person!

We need to focus on the food that we eat, plus the exercises that we participate in and start looking in the direction of developing a “burning desire” to repair our damaged bodies with unhealthy food products. I have not even got into the latest problem that we are all facing known as “GMF”; the Genetic Modification of food products and yet another biggie – our problem with  “Dehydration”. Both of these areas greatly affect our wellness. And, both are kind of hidden in the weeds and kept from the masses.

What are your thoughts on the topic of 170 pounds of sugar being consumed by the average American per Year?
